I contacted James on a Saturday evening as half my home was losing power and NL Power advised I contact an electrician ASAP. I picked the service after an internet search and I have to say, choosing Thorne’s electrical is one of my better decisions. James came to my home that evening, assessed and diagnosed the problem. Explained everything that was easy to understand, could not be repaired right away as my power had to shut off and NL Power had to be involved. Came back a couple of times when the problem kept happening, did a temporary fix.Fixed the issue, came back to check on us as power was still off waiting to be turned on, offered a generator. Met with the city inspector, came back and labelled the panel. Would highly recommend James to anyone seeking an electrician. Excellent service, really looks after his clients well!!!
I happened across James in a Google search when faced with a minor, but scary electrical emergency when a basement heating thermostat overheated and caught fire. Though no serious damage to the structure, I wanted the situation stabilized ASAP and eventually repaired. James dropped what he was doing and was at our home in 10-15 mins and got us out of danger WITHOUT CHARGE!He was back in a few days and did the necessary repairs and replacements and also supplied and installed three new smoke and carbon monoxide detectors at our request, given that only one of our three hardwired detectors were still working - luckily that was the one in the basement where the minor fire occurred.James is experienced, efficient, with very reasonable rates and also got us out of a scary emergency in record time.We were very thankful for his on-the-spot emergency call and highly recommend him for any electrical service you may need.
