The electrician and his two women apprentices who serviced our old apartment on downtown Portland were incredible. They got everything up to code very smoothly and they were careful to not damage any of our belongings. It was very kind of them to tidy up after themselves too! I highly recommend their services.
Squires saved me from a blown breaker and power outage in the middle of the night! Micah arrived quickly and fixed my issue in just a few minutes. He went above and beyond explaining everything and even checking on a few other issues while he was over. I’ll definitely be calling them back when I need it, I cannot recommend Squires enough!
I work in property management and have used their services on and off for the last 2 years. There has never been a direct issue with their work but I stopped using them as I was having issues with follow through from their team and having to be very hands on to ensure we received services. Recently found myself in a pickle and gave them another shot. I heard when I was last using them they were in some transition so I was hopeful maybe things had improved. I got great response on the initial inspection and the team that help coordinate that did great. They let us know follow up work was needed and it sounded like they would be back in the next few days. 5 days later we checked in and found nothing more had been done. we gave it a little longer and reach out again. Squires did even have us in the queue it seems. So we canceled the return and moved it to our usual vendor. not 15 mins later I finally got a call for follow up asking to schedule. I can see the effort is being made to improve but it's just not where I need it at this time. Here's to hoping they continue to refine their system for the better.
Squires sent an electrician to get my apt. up to code and get some heat in my place. Andy has always been courteous in setting an appointment with me. Brandon (electrician) has my respect! He understood my concern and was so considerate to find the right solution in spite of all obstacles. BRAVO! He was so polite which is nice to see now a days. I recommend this company to everyone. They have trained their employees or just found well-mannered people and this is a very big part of having a successful business. Thank you, Squires Electric for staying with your company's motto. You have warmed my home and my heart! Keep up the good work.
Not a good experience with squires who were hired to check and install a ground line for a sewer line repair, and also relocate a switch / install recessed bath lighting at the same time. Not only did the guy drill 8 x 4" holes in our basement ceiling totally unnecessarily (if he had just walked outside to look next to the panel box he would have seen the ground line) but the wall light switch that was relocated has always been loose. I finally got fed up of it hanging out of the wall and decided to figure out what went wrong. Well they couldn't stretch an extra $1 to buy an old work box and instead decided to use foam to try and glue a wall box without the little fins in place. The dimmer in our bathroom has also never worked properly and during install he admitted he hadn't read the instructions for it so I'm about to figure out what mess-up happened there...conclusion: expensive for not good work.
