Watch out for these guys they like to charge a lot and will misdiagnose to ascertain extra hours. Will no longer use these guys. They disconnected electric to fix items, added seven regular outlets by pulling off existing electrical, added six can lights in lieu of track lights but used the same electrical. They tried to fix a couple of fans but still couldn’t get it to work yhen told me o needed new fans. Meaning double the hours. They misdiagnosed two porch light out. It was simply light bulbs! They used an entire day and connected new electrical boxes then recommended adding another breaker box! This meant that they took out work already in and double charged me again!!! Seven outlets pulling off existing electrical in walls, two 220 outlets seven can lights and added another panel, these guys give me a bill almost six thousand dollars! Absolutely not!!!
Update/Edit:Want to update to close out, was contacted upon my review being noticed and discussed the issues I mentioned. Urgency was established and issues were dealt with swiftly. The follow-up communication was swift, thorough and fruitful, so although the initial experience was subpar I'm left overall with a positive experience thanks to an exceptional pivot and strong customer focus!Initial Experience:Had debated on leaving any review, but recent interactions have spurred me to action. Had roughly 30 duplex receptacles replaced and 20+ light switches with a few odd things additional replaced. Not happy with the mess left at almost every work space (cut wire ends and broken plastic), kept finding more as I checked (and my dog found more as well, as she came up chewing on plastic). Multiple receptacles were replaced but left in an unworking state, significant because upstairs they let us know they were unable to get some working so we were made aware but in the storage room that I'm now renovating some were left unworking and we were not informed. Getting someone back has been a hassle, and when I call to check I'm treated as an inconvenience, what's inconvenient is the room that's being completely redone not having working receptacles that I didn't know about. All in all I'm thankful to have the work done (I don't do electrical work so it's needed), but everything surrounding it has been completely subpar to infuriating, looking forward to getting this finally working to be done with Casco Bay Electric.
CBE came out very promptly to find a break in an underground wire I had at my apartment building. I usually do all my own work but this was a bit past my expertise so I decided to just pass the job on to them, I’m so glad I did. Derek and Tim (I believe) were amazing and very professional, I would definitely recommend them both and CBE.
Casco Bay Electric has done some work for us in the past which was great (and I might have even written a review back then) but they have been particular life savers this week and I just needed to write them a quick review to that effect. Derek was so helpful this weekend for an emergency visit and then they were able to come out for another fix super quickly yesterday (I'm sorry I didn't catch the name of the person who was here then because my husband was working with them, but they were also great). I really appreciate their work. Also extremely easy to work with from a billing process perspective which is a nice touch too.
Kevin and Brady arrived on time and worked well together to quickly add some outlets in two areas of our home. They were knowledgeable and helped us make a decisions about how to proceed. They cleaned up as they went along and were cheerful workers. We will hire them again in a heartbeat.
