I had a breaker that had shut of and wouldn't flip back on. I selected a small local business rather than a large chain corporation. My call was answered by a friendly and efficient human. My appointment was the next morning, which was sufficient for my non-emergent need. The electrician called first, was a bit early, and did a fantastic job. He inspected the entire breaker box to ensure non of the other circuits were problematic and entertained my questions as he worked. He replaced the damaged breaker quickly and was courteous throughout my service call. The price was fair and honest. I will use Gary Houston for all future electric service.
Timely, affordable, and did great work installing our Ring cameras. Also the first person I've ever hired that remembered to shut the backyard gate when they were finished. Its the little things.
Called to have an electrician repair or reinstall the point of attachment (POA) to my house, I sent photo the door hanger Entergy left. This service just requires finding a stud and drilling in the POA. Later finding out a handy man can do this as no wiring electrical work is involved.I was billed over $600. I called to get an itemized receipt. I find out I was charged for materials unrelated to the work done and was sent a new invoice for $350 detailing 2.5 hours of work for $312, with the remaining balance related to materials.I was not home during the service but checked my cameras to see the electrician arriving at 2:40pm and leaving at 3:20pm (40 minutes). I called again to see why I was being charged for 2.5 hours. Apparently it took 1hr 50min to retrieve the correct POA to install which is included in my bill.
Gary Houston Electric was recommended to me by a long time customers of theirs. I have used a few different Electrical Contractors over the past several years, with average at best quality and service results. I have now used Gary Houston Electric on two separate occasions / issues. They are very simply the best. Very knowledgeable and professional field personal, incredible customer service with fair pricing. No need to look elsewhere.
Anderson and his colleague were very professional and efficient. They installed two new outlets: one from the electrical box and one from a switch. They completed the job in just 1.5 hours. However, there was an unexpected "apprentice fee" that was not mentioned over the phone. Service fee for first hour is $125 and $100 for following hours plus (apprentice fee $40 hourly ) plus taxes. Despite this, I would definitely recommend their services!
