Had Colter in several times now to service our house. They've helped us upgrade old wiring, add new outlets, move outlets, wire in a new washing machine and more. Service with a smile, great guys, knowledgeable, and effecient. Usually pretty good at cleaning up after themselves, but missing a bit of wire here and there is fine. No trade is perfect and all can leave some debris behind, it's absolutely not a reflection of the service they provide. I have never had any issues with the service they provide and if there is something they come back ASAP to adjust it. Will be using them again and highly recommend.

Had intermittent power failures around the house on Jan 16. Called one company and had to leave a message. Then called Colter Electric and they determined that we had an emergency and needed help right away. Their electrician Jared came out first thing and, with consultation with an electrician friend of mine determined that the first thing needed was to replace the panel. They did this that day. Great and clean job of replacement. However that didn't seem to completely solve the problem so Jared, owner Jamie, who came out even with a nasty cold to consult with NS Power who finally determined there was a problem with the meter. Eventually, with Jared's help, we got the meter base replaced and NS Power replaced the meter. All seems to be well now. Very thankful that Colter Electric was able to respond so quickly on a cold winter's day. Thank you Jamie and Jared!
Needed a panel upgrade and to bring a house up to code. Jamie Colter and his team did an amazing job. The work was high quality, clean, on schedule and they coordinated with Nova Scotia Power. Plus, when they relabelled the panel the penmanship was superb. It's the little details that matter! Highly recommend this company.
I needed a 240V receptacle installed in my garage. At first there was no rush but my situation changed and needed it to be installed sooner. Jamie came right away, looked at what needed to be done and gave my a very fair quote. The next week it was done in a day, great job, just what I wanted. Colter Electric was very helpful, responsive and on time. Absolutely 5 stars!
